J-Vision is always looking for qualified instructors to work with our students in the Northern CA area. Tutors will teach Reading and Mathematics to small groups of K-12 students. They will assess students, teach students reading/math concepts, manage classroom behavior and record progress. Fingerprint, background checks, and a TB test are required. Current school teachers, substitute teachers and retired teachers are welcome to apply. Tutors can choose their own flexible tutoring schedules. Training, management and all lesson plans are provided. You are contracted to work with clients based on your location and subjects you can tutor. Most tutoring takes place after school and early evenings.

J-Vision is currently looking for tutors who possess the following:

	Have at least a BA/BS
	Teaching certificate or work towards a state credential
	Experience in K-12 education is a must
	Ability to teach English Language Learners and fluency in Spanish preferred
	High energy level and flexibility needed
	Belief that all kids can learn and a positive outlook essential
	Dedication and clear support of the mission/goals/objectives of J-Vision
	Basic computer skills
	Must be available during after-school hours
	Access to the internet
	Reliable transportation
	Have expertise in a particular subject area
	Know how to teach proper study skills
	Have experience leading standardized testing programs like: SAT, ACT, GED.
